Healthcare staffing firm Soliant Health analyzed 30,000 question-based searches and found the query draws an estimated 137,000 searches per month, according to Becker's Hospital Review. The Sept. 22 analysis offers a preview of the health concerns patients will bring into the 2026-27 virus season.

The ranking is a proxy for where public demand and confusion will land. When patients reach for Google rather than a clinician, it points to gaps in accessible, trustworthy guidance on basic questions like contagion, symptoms, and when to seek care.

For hospitals, health systems, and digital health teams, the takeaway is practical. Search-question data can shape patient education content, triage messaging, telehealth prompts, and staffing plans before demand spikes.
